Demonio at The Hunt
Deirdre Girard’s Direct Line is on the bill at Image Theater’s FemNoire Mar. 29-30; also this week, her thesis play The Christina Experiment will be part of Stony Brook University’s Rogue Reading Series

Gregory Fletcher’s short play The Moon Alone is being produced in the festival Boxers & Briefs by Off-Off-Broadway's Artistic New Directions at Theatre 54 in the Shelter Studios and Theatre, March 27-31. Directed by Troy Miller, it features Leigh Dunham, Lue McWilliams, and Bridget Ori.

Award-winning play by Obolensky to be featured in Samuel French's OOB fest

Alum Masha Obolensky’s ten-minute 'Girls Play,' sponsored by the Huntington Theatre Company, has been selected to participate in Samuel French’s Off-Off Broadway Short Play Festival.

Chosen from more than 1,000 submissions from producing companies, playwriting workshops, and university theatre programs, 40 plays will be presented at the 36th annual festival at The Lion Theatre on Theatre Row July 19-24. The week-long event features a full program of plays performed each night.

'Girls Play' was the winner of the 2010 KCACTF National Ten-Minute Play Award, and was also featured in Boston Theater Marathon 12 and at The Source Festival in D.C.

Plays by Noone and Bauer slated for productions in NYC

Ronan Noone’s Little Black Dress will be produced Off-Broadway in May 2011 by The Exchange. Little Black Dress received a workshop production at BPT last season; read more about the play’s intense development history here, in Ronan's program note.


Off-Off-Broadway, Monica Bauer’s Balls: The Testosterone Plays of Monica Bauer, features two short plays about men, ‘Two Men Walked Into a Bar’ and ‘Made for Each Other’. The plays will run Nov. 19-Dec. 5 at the Workshop MainStage Theatre. For more information, visit www.TheatreWithBalls.com.
